The Management and Finance
Committee exist to effectively manage the Chamber and its accounts to
ensure that the Chamber finances are properly managed in order
to ensure that adequate funding is in place to carry out the
Chamber mission as competitively and successfully as possible.
The committee is also responsible for staff training, reviews
and assessment. As with other Chambers, Sligo are a non profit
organisation who exist by subsistence only and not to accumulate
a capital reserve. As such the Management and Finance project team are responsible
for all policies relating to fundraising, subscription, grant
aid or otherwise generated income and all issues relating to
expenditure. Annual budgets are compiled by the Management and Finance Project
Team and are strictly monitored on a monthly basis to ensure
that the Chamber operates on a breakeven scenario. |
