Exporting - What documents are required?
Sligo Chamber of Commerce & Industry is authorised to provide and stamp EU Certs of Origin and
Arab Irish Certs of Origin. We also stamp invoices and other documentation for export.
What is a certificate of origin?
Certain countries require Certificates of Origin to prove the place of growth, production or
manufacture of goods. The signature of the consul of the country is sometimes required.
The type of Certificate required varies according to the destination of the goods e.g. members states of the Arab League require an Arab Irish Certificate of Origin. However, in the vast majority of export cases EU certs of origin are used.
How to register for Certification with the Chamber?
Before a company can apply for a Certificate of Origin certain information is required by the Chamber.
|
| |
- An indemnity form must be completed - this available from the Chamber and is renewed
annually.
- A list of authorised signatories from the company must be given on the companies
headed paper. These people will be authorised to sign forms of behalf of the company.
If the company is not a member of the Chamber we require a bank reference from the company's bank.
