One of the highlights of the Annual Dinner night is the presentation of Sligos Business Person of the Year Award and this year the award was presented to Stephen Rundle of Litec Moulding. He was presented with his award at the Chamber Annual Dinner Dance in the Radisson SAS Hotel, Sligo by An Taoiseach Bertie Ahern TD.
Litec Moulding began its operations in Sligo in 2000 and has since grown and developed. The company produce plastic injection moulded components for use in aerosol valves in cosmetic, food and technical products.
New contracts and growth in demand have seen the business grow substantially in the past number of years.
LITEC began with just two members of staff and it now employs 30 people. This is set to increase to 42 in the next few months, when the company operates for seven days.
In addition to this, the company has acquired an additional 9,000 square foot warehouse in Finisklin. This will increase the size of their business to 22,000 square feet.
